| Do you have a slow, dial-up internet connection, or would like something to play in you home audio system? Meloware custom CD audio disks are for you! Here is your opportunity to enjoy antique audio recordings of your choice, without keeping old 78 rpm records and the out dated equipment needed to play them. |
| Meloware is a service unique to any re-issue company. Our CD Builder allows you to choose exactly the titles you want in your CD purchase! People often find it frustrating to find a re-issue CD which has some interesting titles, but also many that don´t interest them. At Meloware, you are encouraged to mix and match any combination of music you wish. |
| As collectors, it is also
frustrating to get a CD whose titles have been filtered and
processed so much, that the original charm of these vintage
recordings have been lost. Natural surface noise is chopped out
at the cost of loosing higher tones, which were part of the
original recording. Some operations even attempt to 'fake' stereo
and reverb effects. At Meloware? No way! These records are
historic artifacts and we feel a duty to present them in as close
to an original condition as possible!
All Meloware CDs are produced from
the original source files, and are in the best quality we are
able to offer.
These records have been transcribed
to digital using a Western Electric 4A reproducer, perhaps the
best instrument ever made for the electronic reproduction of
these antique disks. Each millisecond of every title has been
inspected for repairable damage and then corrected with the best
tools available. The original surface and tone has been carefully
conserved, so that even a dedicated collector will have a hard
time noticing any electronic processing at all. |
| We use archival quality MAM-A Silver CD-R disks to produce your compilation. These CD-R disks have been carefully manufactured to tolerate damaging heat and handling. MAM-A´s phthalocyanine dye technology allows for superior and stable recordings, compatible with the widest range of various CD players. The manufacturer claims that these disks will be readable for at least 100 years, when stored at room temperature. |
Our CD Builder is easy to use, and a pop-up help page is available, any time you get stuck. You
have the freedom to create as many disks as you wish, and can even change items in your order,
without having to start over.
