Vaudeville Records

We are calling these records 'vaudeville', because they include music, song, and theatrics.
The titles with named artists, such as Ada Jones and Len Spencer, are descriptive scenes with characters confronted with different situations. Once the conflict is resolved, they usually ended with a musical summary.

The other category listed here, are re-creations of the old 'black and white' minstrel stage, from the 19th century. A seated chorus, dressed in black face makeup, exchanged ethnic jokes and performed songs, of a type which are probably best left to history.
